Larissa residents pass away, including educator Kostas Gerodimos

Several residents of Larissa, Greece, have passed away recently. Among those noted are physical education teacher Kostas Gerodimos, aged 62, whose funeral is scheduled for Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of Lazarus in the New Cemetery of Larissa.

Other recent deaths in the region include Kalliopi Katsika (69), Nikolaos Zotos (72), Stefanos Balatsos (89), Efthymia Mertzanidou (92), Georgios Blekas (74), and Kaiti Ioannidou (86).

The Primary School Teachers Association of Larissa, ‘Konstantinos Koumas’, issued a statement expressing deep sorrow over the death of Kostas Gerodimos, noting his long career and the respect he earned from colleagues and students.
