Larissa to host 10th Anniversary Marathon for children with chronic illnesses

The UNESCO Club of Larissa, in collaboration with the Thessaly Region, the Municipality of Larissa, and SEGAS Thessaly, is organizing the 10th Anniversary Marathon for Children with Chronic Illnesses.

Dedicated to supporting children with Mediterranean Anemia, the event carries the central message, “We all run together for children with Mediterranean Anemia.” The marathon will take place on Sunday, October 4, starting at the Ancient Theatre of Larissa. The event features two competitive routes: a 620-meter race starting at 11:00 a.m. and a 5,000-meter race starting at 11:30 a.m.

Olympic athletes Fani Halkia and Nikol Kyriakopoulou are participating to show support for the children and their families. The organization is supported by the Ministry of Education and Sports and the Ministry of Health, alongside various local authorities and social organizations.
