Larissa to host 3rd Regional Conference on Rare Diseases

The Association of Rare Disease Patients of Greece (E.S.A.E.) and the Region of Thessaly are co-organizing the 3rd Regional Conference on Rare Diseases. The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Divani Palace in Larissa.

Following previous conferences in Evros and Crete, this initiative aims to bring scientific knowledge and specialized information closer to patients, their families, and healthcare professionals within the Thessaly region. The conference seeks to foster dialogue and cooperation between the state, the academic and scientific community, local government, and the rare disease community.

The program focuses on addressing the complex diagnostic, therapeutic, and supportive needs associated with rare diseases. A primary goal is to mitigate obstacles caused by geographic distance from specialized services, emphasizing the importance of timely diagnosis and access to appropriate care regardless of a patient's location.
