Larissa to host women's water polo awards and NOL vs Olympiacos match

A celebration of women's water polo will take place on Saturday, September 12, at the New Estate Swimming Pool in Larissa, Greece. The event features a friendly match between the Nautical Club of Larissa (NOL) and Olympiacos CFP.

During the match, the Region of Thessaly will hold an awards ceremony to honor significant achievements in local and national sports. The NOL women's team will be recognized for winning the Water Polo League 2 championship for the 2025–2026 season, securing their promotion to the top-tier Water Polo League.

Additionally, the Olympiacos women's water polo team will be honored for their European success, specifically their victory in the 2025–2026 Women's Champions League. Thessaly Regional Governor Dimitris Kouretas stated that the region aims to support athletes and honor these major milestones for both Larissa and Greek water polo.
