Larissa: Woman found dead in basement after long period

Authorities in Larissa have discovered the body of a 60-year-old woman in a basement apartment on 28th October Street. Preliminary evidence suggests the woman had been deceased for a significant period, with local testimonies indicating she may have died at least 1.5 years ago.

The building manager noted that the woman, described as a lonely but kind and consistent individual, had not paid common expenses since October 2024. No relatives had reportedly searched for her since she went missing. Her sister, who resides in Thessaloniki, has been notified of the discovery.

A preliminary investigation is currently underway to determine the exact cause of death and the precise timeframe in which it occurred.
