Larne defeat Lincoln Red Imps 2-0 in Conference League play-off

Larne secured a 2-0 victory against Lincoln Red Imps in the first leg of their UEFA Conference League qualifying play-off held in Gibraltar. The Irish Premiership champions took advantage of a numerical superiority after Lincoln Red Imps were reduced to 10 men following a first-half red card issued to Yussef Flalhi Idrissi via VAR.

Both goals for Larne arrived late in the match. Paul O'Neill scored the opener in the 85th minute with a header following a cross from Conor McKendry. Kevin O'Hara added a second goal in stoppage time after being played through by O'Neill.

Larne holds a two-goal advantage heading into the second leg, which is scheduled to take place at Inver Park on Thursday, August 27.
