Larry David discusses fallout with Alan Dershowitz

Comedian and ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’ creator Larry David has addressed the collapse of his friendship with attorney Alan Dershowitz. In a new profile published by The Atlantic, David stated that Dershowitz ‘made a deal with the devil’ when he joined Donald Trump’s legal team during the former president’s first impeachment trial in 2020.

The rift became public in 2021 following a confrontation on Martha’s Vineyard, where David reportedly called Dershowitz ‘disgusting’ during a grocery store encounter. Dershowitz previously confirmed the incident to The New Yorker, noting that David refused to speak with him.

Dershowitz also expressed hurt regarding David’s decision not to reach out following the death of Dershowitz’s son, Elon, last year. David expressed regret over not contacting him, stating, ‘I certainly regret not [reaching out].’
