Larry the Cat returns to Downing Street after successful surgery

Larry the Cat, the long-serving chief mouser at 10 Downing Street, has returned to his residence following a successful minor surgical procedure. The operation was performed to remove a subcutaneous cyst that was causing the feline discomfort.

The UK government confirmed Larry’s recovery via social media, noting that the 19-year-old cat is doing well and has resumed his usual routines around the seat of government. Larry has held his position since 2011, having been brought to the residence during David Cameron’s premiership. He has since served under seven different prime ministers and has achieved significant cultural status in the United Kingdom.
