Larry’s Charcoal Chicken opens in Subiaco, Perth

Larry’s Charcoal Chicken has opened in the Subiaco suburb of Perth, located within the ONE Subiaco building on Roberts Road. The new Mediterranean and Middle Eastern-inspired venue is the latest project from hospitality group Sesh Mafia.

The restaurant’s concept was inspired by the ‘Palestinian Chicken’ episode of the television series ‘Curb Your Enthusiasm’. Sesh Mafia co-founder Ben Tua reportedly traveled to Palestine in August 2023 to research quality charcoal chicken following the inspiration from the show.

Led by Director of Flavour Leigh Power, the menu focuses on charcoal-cooked chicken alongside small plates, house-made dips, flatbreads, salads, and various protein options including spiced beef, prawn, veggie, and lamb. The venue is designed to accommodate both quick takeaway lunches and communal dining experiences.
