Lars Eidinger discusses filming ‘Man of Tomorrow’ in Hollywood

German actor Lars Eidinger has shared his experiences filming the upcoming Hollywood production ‘Man of Tomorrow’, scheduled for release in July 2027. Eidinger, who portrays the villain Brainiac, described the filming process in the United States as a profound cultural shock that was entirely positive.

Comparing the Hollywood production to his experiences in Germany and Europe, Eidinger noted a significant difference in team spirit and cohesion. He stated that he had never experienced such a strong sense of togetherness on a set within the German-speaking or European film industries. He characterized the two environments as being fundamentally different, remarking, ‘They don’t just cook with water. They cook with Pepsi.’

Eidinger also addressed common stereotypes regarding American colleagues, noting that he found them to be exceptionally attentive and genuinely interested in one another, rather than superficial. The role was confirmed by director James Gunn following a global search.
