Lars Grael to give free lecture in Belém
Olympic sailing medalist and world champion Lars Grael will deliver a free lecture at Tuna Luso Brasileira in Belém on September 14. The event, scheduled for 6:00 PM, focuses on themes of leadership, inspiration, and overcoming adversity.
Grael, an ambassador for the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC), will share insights from his career, including his recovery after a life-threatening accident in 1998 that resulted in the loss of a leg. Despite the injury, he returned to high-level competition, eventually winning the Star Class World Championship in 2015. His talk will also draw on his experience in sports management, having served as a National Sports Secretary and a state secretary in São Paulo.
