Larsen & Toubro partners with TuTr Hyperloop for mobility infrastructure

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TuTr Hyperloop Private Ltd, an IIT Madras-incubated deep-tech startup, to develop next-generation mobility infrastructure in India.

The collaboration aims to integrate L&T’s engineering, procurement, and construction capabilities with TuTr Hyperloop’s expertise in indigenous electromagnetic propulsion and advanced mobility systems. The partnership will evaluate various technical domains, including Linear Induction Motor-based propulsion, vacuum tube infrastructure, pressure management, signaling, and systems integration.

Beyond passenger transit, the two entities plan to explore applications in freight, logistics, port connectivity, and industrial transportation. The agreement establishes a framework for joint exploration of the emerging mobility ecosystem, with specific projects to be managed through subsequent individual agreements.
