Las Azules returns to Apple TV with second season

The second season of the series ‘Las Azules’ premieres on Apple TV, expanding its narrative to include the historical context of the 1968 student massacre in Mexico City. Set in the 1970s, the story follows the first female police force in Mexico as they navigate a system characterized by corruption and machismo.

The new season begins with the discovery of a young student activist's body, an investigation that eventually links current crimes to the events of 1968. The lead cast includes Bárbara Mori, Ximena Sariñana, Natalia Téllez, and Amorita Rasgado. The production, led by Fernando Rovzar and Pablo Aramendi, explores how past unresolved traumas and systemic inequalities continue to impact the protagonists' professional and personal lives.
