Las Bambas allocates S/ 1.5 million for Cotabambas healthcare

Minera Las Bambas has allocated S/ 1.5 million to the provincial municipality of Cotabambas to enhance local healthcare services. The contribution was announced during the 66th anniversary celebrations of the province's political restitution.

The funding is divided into two primary projects. An initial S/ 566,667 will be used to purchase a Type II rural ambulance to improve patient transport and care in rural areas. The remaining S/ 933,333 will fund the acquisition of a laparoscopic surgery system, the construction of a cold chain facility, and an emergency clinic.

These initiatives are part of a Framework Agreement designed to channel resources into community projects prioritized alongside local authorities. José Chirinos, a representative for Las Bambas, stated that the company aims to contribute to the direct well-being and development of local families through these actions.
