Las Breñas municipal official faces gender‑based violence allegations

Dr. Marcos Lugo, a local lawyer, testified before the Las Breñas municipal council about a case alleging gender‑based violence by a municipal official. He argued that procedural maneuvers were being used to silence the victim, describing the situation as “a maneuver to mute the truth.” Lugo noted that a defense filing had been dismissed and that delays in delivering case files hampered the investigation. He called for an oral public trial in accordance with current procedural law.
