Las Caobas residents denounce illegal sidewalk workshop

Residents of block 3 in the Las Caobas sector of Santo Domingo Oeste have reported an improvised mechanical workshop that has occupied a public sidewalk for several years. According to community members, the site is used for parking vehicles and storing mechanical parts, alongside an accumulation of trash and waste.

The occupation of the sidewalk forces pedestrians to walk in the street, exposing them to vehicular traffic. Despite multiple reports to the authorities, residents claim they have not received a definitive response or seen the public space cleared. The community is calling on Santo Domingo Oeste officials to inspect the area and restore pedestrian mobility.
