Las Compañías police arrest 10 in anti-trafficking operations

Police operations in Las Compañías resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals and the seizure of drugs and weapons.

In one incident, two foreign nationals aged 19 and 20 were detained after a motorcycle pursuit. Officers recovered more than 50 packages containing various drugs and substances.

A second operation on Route 5 North led to the arrest of two men, aged 21 and 22, after a vehicle attempted to evade a checkpoint. Police recovered nearly half a kilogram of cocaine thrown from the car and seized over one million pesos in cash. One suspect had an active arrest warrant for weapons law violations.

A third operation on Huasco Street resulted in the detention of six Chilean nationals, aged 20 to 51, following a suspected drug transaction inside a residence. Five of the detainees have prior criminal records for offenses including kidnapping, drug trafficking, and vehicle receiving.
