Las Compañías seniors receive renovated community headquarters

In Las Compañías, Chile, the Municipality of La Serena has officially handed over the keys to a renovated community headquarters for the Unión Comunal de Adultos Mayores (UCAM). Located at the former Casa de la Cultura on Argentina Street, the facility was restored to provide a dedicated space for senior citizens to hold meetings and workshops.

Mayor Daniela Norambuena highlighted that the space includes inclusive bathrooms and has been revitalized to serve the community. The handover follows an 11-year effort by local seniors to secure a permanent venue for their organization.
