Las Lagunas de Ruidera concludes bathing season with high attendance

The Las Lagunas de Ruidera natural space, located between the provinces of Albacete and Ciudad Real, has concluded its bathing season with high visitor numbers. Local officials from Ossa de Montiel and Ruidera reported a positive economic impact, with some local businesses, such as bakeries and distributors, nearly doubling their production due to the increased demand.

Despite the economic benefits, the season faced significant challenges regarding infrastructure and safety. High weekend attendance led to severe traffic congestion and illegal parking in unauthorized areas. The mayor of Ossa de Montiel, Alejandro Chillerón, expressed concern that vehicle saturation could hinder emergency response efforts.
