Las Palmas de Gran Canaria concludes XII Architecture Week

The XII Architecture Week of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has concluded at Castillo de la Luz following eight days of activities focused on the city's future transformations. Organized by the Official College of Architects of Gran Canaria (COAGC) in collaboration with the Martín Chirino Art and Thought Foundation, the event operated under the theme ‘Specific City’.

The program addressed urban challenges stemming from the city's unique geographic, urban, and cultural characteristics. It featured a combination of conferences, debates, and public proposals designed to involve both professionals and citizens in decisions affecting the urban environment.

Ovidio Macho Mishal, dean of the COAGC, noted the high level of participation from both architects and the general public. Jesús M. Castaño, director of the Martín Chirino Foundation, emphasized the importance of the discussions regarding the role of social and cultural agents in urban development.
