Las Palmas road closures scheduled for Belén María works

A nighttime closure of the GC-1 highway in the southbound direction is scheduled for Monday, October 26, to facilitate construction on the Belén María underground project. The closure will affect the first 300 meters of the road starting from the roundabout and will last for three hours, from 22:00 to 01:00.

This intervention will also disable José Guerra Navarro street, a common connection to the El Puerto Health Center. Emergency vehicles must use Juan Rejón street to access the medical facility, while other traffic from the Port and El Sebadal should use Gran Canaria street to join the GC-1.

The project, valued at approximately 25 million euros, aims to alleviate congestion near the Port of Las Palmas, the El Sebadal industrial estate, and the La Isleta neighborhood through the creation of a two-lane underground passage.
