Las Paraguayas releases folklore audiovisual with 300 dancers

The musical group Las Paraguayas has released a new audiovisual production titled ‘Al Compás de la Galopa’ to commemorate Paraguayan Folklore Day. The project features 300 dancers from various academies in Cordillera and Luque, under the choreographic direction of Professor José Fernández.

The production centers on the musical composition ‘La Galopera’ by Mauricio Cardozo Ocampo. A key symbolic element of the performance is the use of the ‘kambuchi’, a traditional clay vessel carried on the dancers' heads to represent Paraguayan identity and pride.

Maziela Gaona expressed that the group feels honored and committed to the project, which was a collaborative effort with participating academies. This release also marks the beginning of celebrations for the 10th anniversary of Las Paraguayas.
