Las Termas de Río Hondo hosts cultural and water heritage forum

The “Tejiendo Hilos de Agua – Rumbo a Termas” initiative, organized by the Universidad Nacional de San Martín (UNSAM) School of Humanities and Proyecto V, recently took place in Las Termas de Río Hondo. The event brought together academics, students, and artists from various Argentine provinces, including Buenos Aires, Jujuy, Catamarca, Misiones, and Santiago del Estero.

The gathering aimed to promote federal dialogue, revalue regional water heritage and cultural memory, and encourage educational tourism in Northern Argentina. Participating institutions, such as the Instituto Superior de Bellas Artes Juan Yaparí (ISBA), presented projects like the restoration of institutional heritage to foster community links and artistic training.

Additionally, the event coincided with the 72nd anniversary of the municipality of Las Termas de Río Hondo. During the celebrations, local authorities honored “Carlitos Ariel y su Familia Orquesta” for their 35-year musical career and contribution to the city's cultural identity.
