Caitlin Clark avoids suspension as WNBA rescinds technical foul
The WNBA has rescinded a technical foul assessed to Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark during a game against the Chicago Sky, sparing her from an automatic one-game suspension. The foul, which was Clark's eighth of the season, was called after she made contact with an official while being forced out of bounds. Clark maintained the contact was unintentional, stating, “It wasn’t intentional, nothing was said, so I’m hoping it’s getting rescinded.”
Fever head coach Stephanie White also received a technical foul for criticizing the officiating. The league's decision to walk back the call ensures Clark remains available for the team's upcoming matchup against the New York Liberty.
In other WNBA news, the Minnesota Lynx have secured their first playoff spot of the 2026 season following a 98-87 victory over the Las Vegas Aces. The win, led by rookie Olivia Miles and All-Star Napheesa Collier, consolidates the Lynx's position at the top of the standings with a 26-7 record.
