Las Vegas hosts U23 World Wrestling Championships

The U23 World Wrestling Championships are taking place at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from October 12 to 18. The tournament features approximately 600 athletes from around the world competing for international medals.

Spain is represented by three freestyle wrestlers: Carla Jaume (53 kg), Denis Kodakov (70 kg), and David Kodakov (79 kg). Jaume, a former U23 European vice-champion, is a primary contender in her category despite facing high-level competition from athletes representing Ukraine, the United States, Japan, and Russia.

Mexico is also participating in both Greco-Roman and freestyle disciplines. Key athletes for the Mexican delegation include Kevin de León, a silver medalist from the Central American and Caribbean Games, and 20-year-old Rodrigo Falcón Aguirre, who is competing in the 60 kg Greco-Roman division.
