Las Vegas hotels face falling visitors and higher parking fees

The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority reported that the city welcomed 38.5 million visitors in 2025, a 7.5 % decline from 2024. Reviews of several older resorts – including Circus Circus, Flamingo, Luxor, Excalibur and The LINQ – note aging rooms, inconsistent cleanliness, long check‑in lines and added resort fees that erode perceived value.

Almost every major Las Vegas resort now charges for parking. Self‑parking rates typically range from $20‑$25 on weekdays to $40 on weekends, with valet services costing more. Fees vary by hotel and can differ for guests who have booked a room at the property. The added parking costs, combined with resort fees, are cited as further factors discouraging travelers.
