Las Vegas Raiders consider roster moves following loss to Chiefs
The Las Vegas Raiders suffered their first loss of the 2026 season in Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. Despite a strong 3-0 start under head coach Klint Kubiak, the team fell to the division rival in a matchup that determined first place in the AFC West.
Following the loss, the Raiders are facing significant depth issues at the wide receiver position. Three receivers—Dont’e Thornton Jr., Corey Rucker, and Jack Bech—are currently on injured reserve, while newcomer Jalen Nailor is dealing with a concussion. Head coach Klint Kubiak stated that “all things are being considered” regarding potential moves to bolster the receiving corps, which may include trades or free-agent signings, ahead of their Week 5 game against the New England Patriots.
Kubiak noted that the coaching staff must improve team preparation to avoid the critical mistakes that allowed the Chiefs to capitalize during the game.
