Las Vegas Raiders manage Maxx Crosby snap counts

The Las Vegas Raiders are implementing a strategy to manage the playing time of star pass-rusher Maxx Crosby. After playing 100 percent of snaps in many games during previous seasons, which contributed to missed time and off-season surgeries, the team has shifted toward providing more in-game rest.

Through the first six weeks of the current season, Crosby has averaged approximately 86 percent of defensive snaps. While he continues to play the vast majority of the game, his participation is noticeably lower than in past years to preserve his health.

Separately, speculation has emerged regarding potential trade interest in Crosby. NFL insider Jason LaCanfora suggested that the Dallas Cowboys could be a candidate to pursue the player as they look to bolster their pass rush before the trade deadline, though the Raiders have shown no indication of putting him on the market.
