LASER launches semi-solid state ChargeCore powerbanks

Australian consumer electronics company LASER has announced the launch of its ChargeCore range, featuring next-generation semi-solid state battery technology. The new line includes three capacities—10,000mAh, 20,000mAh, and 27,000mAh—with fast charging options of 20W and 35W USB-C Power Delivery.

Semi-solid state technology utilizes a gel-like core to provide improved thermal stability, enhanced safety, and faster charging performance compared to traditional chemistries. The company claims the technology allows for more power in a compact design while remaining stable under demanding conditions. LASER reported that the batteries underwent rigorous testing, including being pierced and hammered, without catching fire.

This launch follows LASER’s 2025 introduction of LiFePO4 battery technology to the Australian market. The company is approaching its 40th anniversary in 2027.
