Lashkar-e-Taiba commander dies under mysterious circumstances in Islamabad
Qari Saeed Abdul Aziz, a senior commander of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), has died under mysterious circumstances at the Quba Mosque in Islamabad, Pakistan. CCTV footage shows Abdul Aziz collapsing at the mosque entrance after performing ablutions. He was reportedly taken to a hospital where he was declared dead despite attempts to revive him with CPR.
Abdul Aziz was a long-time associate of LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, having been linked to the group since 1990. He primarily managed the Shoaba-e-Warasa-e-Shuhada department, which was responsible for providing monthly pensions and administrative support to the families of terrorists killed in encounters in India, specifically in districts like Multan and Bahawalpur.
His death follows recent claims by LeT operative Rizwan Hanif, who stated in a video that approximately 30 members of the organization had been killed by "unknown men" across various Pakistani cities, including Karachi and Peshawar, over the past few years. The circumstances of Abdul Aziz's sudden collapse remain unconfirmed.
