LASK Linz completes historic Champions League comeback against Celtic

LASK Linz completed a historic comeback in the UEFA Champions League playoffs, overturning a 3-0 first-leg deficit to defeat Celtic FC 5-1 in the second leg. The match, held at the Raiffeisen Arena, went into extra time after Celtic's Callum McGregor scored in the 21st minute to make the aggregate score 4-0.

LASK responded through Moses Usor in the 32nd minute, followed by goals from Robert Ljubicic and Samuel Adeniran in the second half. Florian Flecker scored in the 90th minute to level the aggregate score at 4-4, forcing extra time. In the additional period, Adeniran scored his second goal of the night in the 109th minute to secure a 5-4 aggregate victory.

With this win, LASK qualifies for the Champions League league phase for the first time in their history. Celtic will instead compete in the UEFA Europa League.

Separately, Sabah Baku made history by qualifying for the Champions League league phase after an extra-time victory over Hapoel Beer-Sheva.
