LASS reports financial losses as Lithuanian riflemen train in Denmark

The Lithuanian Association of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (LASS) held a board meeting to review financial results for the first half of 2026. The meeting reported a total loss of 287,000 EUR across three production companies, including UAB Regseda, UAB Liregus, and VŠĮ Aksida. Among the four LASS institutions, only the Vilnius Regional Center reported a profit of 16,900 EUR, while others faced losses. In response, the board has instructed managers to implement measures to ensure non-lossful operations for the remainder of the year and has formed a working group to draft new LASS statutes by February 1, 2027.

Separately, Lithuanian diaspora riflemen conducted the 'Budrus Vikingas 2026' exercises in Denmark, marking the first joint training with the Danish National Guard (Hjemmeværnet). Following a protocol of intent signed earlier this year, the exercises focused on small unit tactics, facility protection, patrolling, and tactical medicine. The training took place at a deactivated Cold War-era military site. These diaspora members aim to support Lithuania abroad by maintaining community ties and providing communicative support during both peace and wartime.
