Lassiry Hip-Hop Festival expands to international stage

The 8th edition of the Lassiry Hip-Hop Festival has officially launched at the Franco-Guinean Cultural Center (CCFG) in Conakry. For the first time in its seven-year history, the event is expanding internationally, with activities scheduled in Conakry from October 29 to November 1, followed by a stage in Paris from November 4 to 7, 2026.

Organized by Guinée Challenge, the festival aims to foster artist mobility and create lasting networks between the Guinean and French music scenes. The program includes the production of four collaborative tracks featuring artists from both nations. A major concert is set for November 1 at Stade Petit Sory, featuring French rapper La Fouine alongside artists such as Miss Kala Kala, Thiird, and Vicky R.

In addition to musical performances, the festival is introducing a ‘Business Tour’ to universities. This initiative seeks to professionalize the urban culture sector by educating students on the business aspects of being an artist, connecting them with legal, commercial, and technical experts.
