Last Epoch launches Season 5 with new content and director
KRAFTON, Inc. and its creative studio, Eleventh Hour Games (EHG), have launched Season 5 of the action RPG Last Epoch, titled ‘Rage of the Frostborn.’ The update introduces the ‘Rage of Morditas’ seasonal activity, where players can activate Blood Crystals and defend against enemy waves to earn customizable rewards.
New combat content includes the boss Morditas and the pinnacle boss Pinnacle Morditas. The update also adds three new skills along with new Unique and Set items to expand character build options.
Alongside the content launch, EHG co-founder Mike Weicker has been appointed as the new Game Director for Last Epoch. Weicker, who has been involved with the game since its early development in 2017, will oversee future development and live operations while maintaining the philosophy established by EHG CEO Judd Cobler.
Additionally, EHG has implemented significant localization improvements. Working with KRAFTON, the studio established a dedicated team to overhaul in-game text, specifically improving the accuracy and consistency of Korean terminology. To celebrate the launch, the base game is available on Steam at a 30% discount through October 8.
