Lasvit expands global luxury glassmaking presence

Lasvit, a Czech glassmaking company, is expanding its global presence through high-end commissions for luxury brands. Owner Leon Jakimič noted that the firm has recently provided installations for Hermès and Cartier, and its products are increasingly featured on luxury yachts and upcoming infrastructure projects like a bridge over the Thames.

Reflecting on the company's history since its founding in 2007, Jakimič discussed past challenges, including a period of rapid, unsustainable growth that led to significant layoffs. Following a difficult two-year period, the company reports a recovery, bolstered by a turnover of approximately 1.4 billion CZK and the leadership of new CEO Jakub Konopásek.
