Lata Mangeshkar honored with sand art in Puri

To commemorate the 97th birth anniversary of legendary Indian singer Lata Mangeshkar, students from the Sudarshan Sand Art Institute in Puri created a special sand-art animation.

Students Monalisa Moharna and Sonali Aloke spent approximately thirty minutes crafting the sand animation, which depicts the likeness of the singer. The tribute aims to honor her musical legacy and the impact of her career, which spanned over seven decades and included more than 30,000 songs.

Mangeshkar, who was born in Indore on September 28, 1929, passed away on February 6, 2022. Her work remains a significant part of Indian musical history.
