Latacunga opens call for 2026 Cultural Agenda proposals

The Permanent Sponsoring Committee for the Latacunga Festivities has launched a call for proposals to build the 2026 Cultural Agenda. This initiative aims to organize commemorative activities for the 206th anniversary of the city’s political emancipation.

Various sectors, including neighborhoods, guilds, institutions, and the general public, are invited to submit cultural, artistic, sporting, and social proposals. The goal is to strengthen local identity and provide organized, safe festivities that showcase the city’s history and diversity to tourists.

Proposals must be submitted in writing to the Directorate of Culture and Heritage at Casa Aranjuez. Submissions should be addressed to Councilman Cristian Molina Quinteros and must include the activity name, objective, tentative date, location, time, person responsible, and a contact number. The call for entries remains open until September 25, after which the agenda will be presented to the Municipal Council.
