LATAM Airlines plans expansion to new European destination

LATAM Airlines is preparing to announce a new destination in Europe, according to Jerome Cadier, CEO of LATAM Brasil. The announcement was teased during a LATAM Pass loyalty program event in São Paulo, though the company has not yet disclosed the specific city, launch date, or operational start date.

The airline currently serves ten European cities from Guarulhos Airport: Amsterdam, Barcelona, Brussels, Frankfurt, Lisbon, London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, and Rome. The most recent additions to this network were Amsterdam in March and Brussels in June.

This expansion comes despite rising aviation fuel costs driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The company continues to focus on network growth and its loyalty program, LATAM Pass, which has approximately 57 million members globally.
