LATAM Airlines reports growth in corporate and European travel
LATAM Airlines Group is experiencing significant growth in both corporate travel and demand from European passengers. During 2025, the airline transported over 1.8 million corporate passengers, a 16% increase from the previous year and 11% above 2019 levels. This trend continued into the first quarter of 2026, with 470,391 corporate passengers, up 14% compared to the same period in 2025.
CEO Roberto Alvo noted a ‘extremely strong’ demand from Europe as travelers seek destinations away from conflicts in the Middle East. The disruption of Gulf airline operations has altered traditional routes between Europe and Asia-Pacific, leading more Europeans to choose South America as a safer vacation destination. Between March and September, LATAM transported 10% more passengers between Europe and South America than in the previous year, a trend supported by OAG data showing a 6.5% increase in bookings from major European airports to South American countries during the first half of the year.
