LATAM Airlines to cancel Lima-Antofagasta and Lima-Jamaica routes

LATAM Airlines Perú has announced the cancellation of several international routes effective April 1, 2027. The airline will cease direct operations between Lima and Antofagasta, Chile, as well as between Lima and Montego Bay, Jamaica.

The company cited a challenging industry environment as the primary driver for these decisions, specifically pointing to rising fuel prices and the increased cost of the international connection fee (TUUA) at Lima airport.

For passengers with existing reservations after the effective date, the airline stated that flights will be cancelled and travel alternatives will be offered. The removal of the Antofagasta route also impacts travelers using Lima as a transit hub for other international destinations.
