LATAM Airlines and Porter Airlines unveil new cabin designs for regional fleets

LATAM Airlines announced the interior layout for its upcoming Embraer E195‑E2 fleet, which will start operating in Brazil in the last quarter of 2026. The 136‑seat aircraft will feature a 2‑2 cabin without a middle seat, offering a Premium Economy section with up to 20 seats, enhanced legroom, larger recline angles, USB‑C charging, satellite connectivity provided by SES and free Wi‑Fi for LATAM Pass members, plus an onboard entertainment platform with more than 2,000 hours of content.

Porter Airlines began a comprehensive cabin refresh for its 29 De Havilland Dash 8‑400 turboprops. The airline is installing Expliseat’s TiSeat 2V, touted as the lightest economy seat in its class, built from carbon‑fiber and titanium to cut aircraft weight and fuel consumption. The upgrade includes ergonomic seat cushions, integrated tablet trays, LED ambient lighting, new carpet flooring and wider first‑row tables, while retaining a 78‑seat 2‑2 configuration and 32‑inch seat spacing.

Both carriers are targeting improved passenger comfort, reduced emissions and stronger competitive positioning on their regional routes.
