LATAM invests $25 million in satellite Wi-Fi for new aircraft fleet

LATAM Airlines Group is investing approximately $25 million in multi-orbit satellite connectivity for its fleet. The investment aims to provide fast and reliable internet access to passengers across various routes.

The upgrade will be implemented on 60 new Airbus and Embraer aircraft, including the A320neo, A321XLR, and E195-E2 models. This expansion utilizes connectivity solutions from SES to ensure consistent network coverage during flights.

LATAM currently operates the largest connected fleet in the region, with over 250 aircraft already equipped with Wi-Fi. Under the new rollout, LATAM Pass members will be able to access the in-flight Wi-Fi service free of charge.
