Late-night hosts discuss why Trump targets Jimmy Kimmel

Late-night hosts Seth Meyers and John Oliver joined Jimmy Kimmel on his ABC program in Brooklyn to discuss why President Donald Trump frequently targets Kimmel with criticism while showing less attention to them.

Meyers and Oliver offered theories for the disparity, suggesting that Trump might view Kimmel as someone he would want to socialize with due to his high-profile social circle and lifestyle. Meyers joked that Trump likely views him and Oliver as “a couple of dorks” whom he would have no respect for.

Kimmel proposed a different theory, suggesting the President’s focus is limited to traditional networks and Fox News, noting that Trump likely does not watch HBO or Comedy Central, where Oliver and Meyers host their respective shows.
