Latham & Watkins invests in Nvidia servers for private AI
Latham & Watkins, the world’s second-largest law firm, has begun purchasing its own Nvidia GPU servers to run artificial intelligence models locally. This move marks a shift for large non-tech corporations toward controlling their own computing infrastructure rather than relying on third-party cloud providers.
By processing data on internal hardware, the firm aims to ensure absolute privacy for highly sensitive client information, such as trade secrets and litigation details. This approach allows the firm to run open models entirely offline, preventing confidential data from being transmitted to external cloud servers or third-party AI providers.
