Latin America Energy & Technology plans production increases in Piura

Latin America Energy & Technology Corporation (LAET) is planning to expand oil and gas production in the Piura region of Peru through its operations in Lots VI and 207. During a meeting with Peru’s Ministry of Energy and Mines, LAET reported that Lot VI, which began production in May 2026, has accumulated 190,701 barrels of oil as of September.

For Lot 207, the company plans to execute 350 interventions, including the reconditioning of 100 wells, 170 development wells, and 80 exploratory wells. These activities aim to increase production through technical studies and specialized technology. Additionally, LAET projects starting drilling activities in 2028.

The Ministry of Energy and Mines expressed support for these initiatives, stating that the government is working to ensure hydrocarbon projects contribute to economic development and regional quality of life.
