Latin American Apiculture Congress awards honors to Argentina and Bolivia

The Latin American Apiculture Congress has recognized significant achievements in the beekeeping sectors of Argentina and Bolivia.

Representing the Misiones province of Argentina, a delegation earned four medals and three special mentions. Notable awards included a gold medal in the audiovisual category for the work “Meliponicultura” by Sergio Martín Paredes, and a gold medal for the book “Lo dulce y amargo de la miel en Misiones,” published by the Universidad Nacional de Misiones.

Bolivia secured a silver medal in the “Mieles Claras” (clear honeys) category for honey produced in the Bolivian Chaco by Mauro Rivera. Eduardo Álvarez, president of the Cámara Agropecuaria del Chaco Chuquisaqueño, noted that this international recognition highlights the potential for Bolivian honey exports and demonstrates the country's diverse production capabilities across different ecosystems.
