Latin American Baseball Hall of Fame inducts four legends

The Latin American Baseball Hall of Fame has announced the induction of four legendary players into its XIII Class of Exaltation under the Contemporary Players category. The selected inductees are Albert Pujols, Yadier Molina, Magglio Ordóñez, and Edwin Encarnación.

The selection was made by the Hall of Fame's Circle of Chroniclers, who evaluated the players' careers, merits, and legacies. Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina tied for first place in the voting, with Ordóñez and Encarnación following in third and fourth place, respectively.

The official induction ceremony is scheduled to take place in December 2026 in Caguas, Puerto Rico. Executive Director Robinson Paredes noted that the honorees represent excellence on the field and serve as examples of leadership and community commitment.

Among the inductees, Venezuelan Magglio Ordóñez is recognized for his consistency over 15 seasons with the Chicago White Sox and Detroit Tigers, maintaining a lifetime .309 batting average. Albert Pujols joins with 703 home runs and three NL MVP awards, while Yadier Molina is honored for his defensive leadership and nine Gold Glove awards.
