Latin American gaming studios head to Gamescom 2026

Video game developers from Uruguay and Argentina are heading to Gamescom 2026 in Cologne, Germany, to seek international investment, publishers, and strategic partnerships.

A Uruguayan delegation of 12 studios, coordinated by Uruguay XXI and the Uruguayan Video Game Chamber (CAVI), will host a business stand to showcase national developments, including cloud gaming technology and connected entertainment. Notable participating studios include Pomelo Games and Ironhide Game Studio, known for titles like ‘Kingdom Rush’.

Simultaneously, Argentine companies are participating with support from PromArgentina to expand their international visibility. The Argentine mission includes representatives from the National Secretariat of Culture and the Argentine Video Game Developers Association. The sector is a key component of Argentina's knowledge economy, with an estimated market value exceeding USD 87.3 million.
