Latin American gastronomy expands through culinary events and Michelin recognition

The Latin American culinary scene continues to gain prominence through specialized dining events and international recognition. In São Paulo, the restaurant Cora is hosting a special dinner titled ‘Digerir a América’ on August 19. The event features a collaboration between Argentine chefs Pablo Inca of Cora and Bernabé Simón Padrós of the Rio de Janeiro restaurant Emile. The evening offers an à la carte menu including dishes such as eggplant with curd, eryngii mushrooms with pumpkin, and lamb with corn.

Simultaneously, Mendoza, Argentina, has established itself as a major gastronomic destination following the official arrival of the Michelin Guide in the region. The area features Michelin-starred restaurants and highly recommended establishments, particularly within wineries in Valle de Uco and Luján de Cuyo. High-end tasting menus in these wineries typically range between €90 and €160 with wine pairings, while urban Michelin restaurants in Mendoza city range from €50 to €90.
