Latin American media personalities spark social media controversies

Several Latin American media personalities are involved in recent social media controversies. Poncho de Nigris sparked debate on X by criticizing content creator Manelyk, questioning the appropriateness of her content given her age and suggesting her behavior resembles that of a teenager.

In a separate dispute, singer Manuel Medrano criticized the podcast ‘Los hombres sí lloran,’ hosted by Juan Pablo Raba. Medrano initially made a humorous comment regarding the show's focus on male vulnerability, which led to a broader discussion about whether mental health is being commercialized. Medrano clarified that his remarks were not an attack on men expressing emotions, but rather a critique of how some platforms may profit from mental health topics.
